Steve Christensen is a Collierville neighbor, small business owner, U.S. Navy veteran, husband, father, and grandfather — and he’s been right here, building his life alongside yours, for the past two decades.
He started Fortress Termite Control in 2002 from the ground up. No shortcuts. He’s met payroll in good months and tough ones, dealt with regulations and rising costs, and earned a reputation neighbors have trusted enough to vote Best in Collierville five years running.
Before that, nine years serving in the United States Navy and over a decade in management at Electronic Data Systems taught him how to lead, how to listen, and how to get things done without wasting anyone’s time or money.
"I want Collierville to stay the kind of place we all chose it for — and I'm willing to do the work to make sure it does."
Steve and his wife Sherri have called Collierville home for 24 years. They raised their two children here. Their three grandchildren — Maverick, Erhardt, and Theodore — are growing up here. This isn’t a campaign stop. This is home.
Steve doesn’t believe in making simple things complicated. Here’s where he’ll focus on Day One:
Our police and first responders deserve the personnel, equipment, and funding they need. A safe Collierville is the foundation everything else is built on.
Steve has balanced a budget every month for 20+ years. No frivolous spending. No property tax increases. Every taxpayer dollar treated like it came out of his own pocket — because in a way, it did.
From main corridors to neighborhood roads — smooth traffic flow isn't a luxury, it's basic infrastructure. Steve will make sure it stays that way.
The small businesses that line our streets are what give Collierville its character. Steve knows that world firsthand and will fight to protect and promote locally owned businesses.
Our parks and recreation areas are part of why we chose to live here. Steve will make sure they stay top-notch for families, grandkids, and everyone in between.
